OUR STORY
Furniture built to be kept.
Karni Wood began with a simple conviction: that furniture should be made from real wood, built by real hands, and designed to last a lifetime — not a season.
What we stand for.
In a market full of engineered wood, particle board, and mass production, we chose a harder path and a more honest one. Every Karni Wood piece is built from solid teak or sheesham. We don’t cut corners with MDF or particle board cores. We don’t rush production lines. We build each piece to order, the way fine furniture has always been made: slowly, carefully, and with respect for the material.
Furniture that earns its place.
The dining table your family gathers around every night. The bed that’s held a decade of slow mornings. The cabinet that was your grandmother’s, and will one day be your grandchildren’s. The best furniture isn’t bought again and again — it’s bought once, and lived with for a lifetime. That’s the only kind we make.
Karni Wood is the direct-to-home arm of Sri Karni Wooden Industries, a furniture workshop that has stood in Nokha, Bikaner since 2008. For close to two decades, the same floor, the same hands, and the same standard have turned raw timber into pieces meant to be handed down — not thrown out.
Solid Wood, honest hands.
We work in only two materials: solid teak and solid sheesham. Teak — sagwan — is our flagship, oil-rich and famously indifferent to water, termites, and time. Sheesham is its honest counterpart, hard and dramatically grained. You choose at the time of order, and whichever you pick, it’s built from solid wood — never MDF, never particle board, never an engineered core dressed up to look like the real thing.
Everything is made in our own workshop — cut, joined, and finished by master craftsmen who’ve spent their lives with these woods. Where boards meet, we finish the join by hand so the grain runs clean and unbroken across the piece. Nothing outsourced, nothing rushed. Each piece is built to order, the way fine furniture has always been made.
