Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, to place an order on this Website.

Products and Pricing

• All products are handcrafted from 100% solid wood — primarily teak (sagwan) and sheesham. Minor variations in grain, color, knots, and finish are natural characteristics of real solid wood and are not defects.
• Product images are representative. Actual products may vary slightly in appearance due to natural variations in wood grain, knots, color tones, and finish absorption — these are characteristics of authentic solid wood, not defects. Additionally, actual finish tones, color, and shade may differ from website images due to screen calibration, monitor color accuracy, photography lighting conditions, and the natural absorption characteristics of solid wood. Such variations do not qualify as defects or grounds for return.
• All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable GST.
• We reserve the right to change prices, product specifications, and availability at any time without prior notice.
• In case of pricing errors, we reserve the right to cancel orders and provide a full refund.

Orders

• Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order at our sole discretion.
• Order confirmation will be sent via email upon successful payment.
• Each piece is made to order; production begins within 24 to 72 hours of order confirmation.
• We may refuse or cancel orders that appear fraudulent, contain incorrect information, or violate these terms.

We accept payments through Razorpay, which supports:

• Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Rupay)
• Debit cards
• UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, etc.)
• Net banking
• Selected wallets and EMI options

All transactions are secured via SSL encryption. We are a prepaid-only merchant; Cash on Delivery (COD) is not currently offered.

You agree NOT to:

• Address verification — we may confirm the shipping address through a brief call to the registered phone number
• Identity verification — for orders above ₹50,000, we may request a one-time secure identity verification (such as a government ID photo, used only for order verification and deleted thereafter)
• Order review — orders flagged as suspicious by our payment gateway, our internal fraud detection, or matching high-risk patterns may be reviewed before fulfillment
• Order decline — we reserve the right to decline orders that fail verification, with a full refund processed to the original payment method

These measures protect legitimate customers from fraud and ensure secure high-value transactions. Karni Wood is committed to processing verifications quickly (typically within 24 hours) and minimizing customer inconvenience.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for delays, failures, or damages caused by force majeure events (natural disasters, war, government action, strikes, pandemics, etc.).

Karni Wood shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages arising from the use of our products or website.

Our total liability in any matter shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the specific order in question.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sri Karni Wooden Industries, its proprietor, employees, artisans, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your breach of these Terms & Conditions
• Your misuse of our products
• Your violation of any law or third-party rights
• False or fraudulent claims made by you

Force Majeure

Karni Wood shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, fires, floods, earthquakes, wars, terrorism, government restrictions, pandemics, strikes, transportation disruptions, or supply chain failures.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes take effect upon posting to this page. Your continued use of the Website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bikaner, Rajasthan, India.

Dispute Resolution

Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, the parties shall first attempt to resolve disputes through:

2. Good-faith negotiation for 30 days from the date of dispute notification
3. If unresolved, arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with the seat of arbitration in Bikaner, Rajasthan
